自漢語學界引入西學以來，對於基督教此一思想資源，先是以民族本位的「中體西用」拒絕了，

經自由主義以啟蒙理性之名，全面否定了研究（基督）宗教的必要，

再來則是在社會主義的言說主導下將宗教斥為意識型態，達近一世紀之久M。

這根本地影響了我們對西方思想的理解與解釋能力，也遮蔽了基督教與漢語思想間中種可能被打開的思想維度。

近來上述現象明顯有所改觀。

面對廣大漢語學界的基督教研究入口，也面對著非漢語世界對漢語基督教研究的理解，

本刊主旨在於促進「漢語基督教學術研究」的深化與推進，

廣泛涉及聖經、神學、哲學、文學、歷史、政治、社會與文化等諸領域的研究及研討。

讓漢語基督教的研究走向世界，也讓非漢語學界基督教研究得一窺漢語學界的基督教思想關懷與特色。

內容包括一般論文、評論與學術動態三大類，邀請國內外著名學者專文撰述。
